According to data obtained from studies carried out by the United Nations (UN), one billion people on planet Earth do not have access to an effective water supply. 

Furthermore, in Brazil, many territories are affected by drought and the consequences that the lack of water can bring, such as, for example, extreme poverty. 

However, as a measure to eradicate drought in some Brazilian regions, especially the semi-arid region, and extreme poverty, the Government created the Water for All Program.

How does the Water for All Program work?

THE Water for All Program It was created in 2011 by the Federal Government of Brazil with the aim of promoting access to water for human consumption and food production in rural areas of the country. 

It is administered by the Ministry of Regional Development (MDR) and has the participation of other ministries and government agencies.

The program works by building water supply systems in rural communities that face difficulties in accessing drinking water.

These systems may include drilling wells, installing cisterns, building pipelines and implementing water treatment systems.
