About the application and the benefit of Vale Gás

The Vale Gás app is a government program that offers support to families who cannot afford the costs of purchasing gas.

Until its last update, the government was paying R$50.00 to help with the purchase of cooking gas, and the amount was added to the Auxílio Brasil benefit.

Although you do not pay the full price of the gas cylinder, the amount corresponds to a portion of the cost of the gas, which is paid every two months. Regarding the payment and its dates, they must follow the payment schedule of Auxílio Brasil, which is paid to families registered with CadÚnico.

However, there are state benefits, and each of them has a different application. As an example, we will use the program of the state of São Paulo.

In São Paulo, citizens eligible for the benefit receive 03 (three) installments of R$100.00 to purchase a 13kg cooking gas cylinder.

However, the prerequisites to be entitled to the benefit would be to be in a situation of poverty or extreme poverty (having a monthly per capita income of no more than R$178.00), in addition to being registered with CadÚnico and not receiving Bolsa Família and residing in communities and slums in the municipalities of São Paulo.

❌ It is not possible to make withdrawals through the application itself;

❌ If you receive federal benefits, the valid application is Auxílio Brasil;

❌ If you receive state benefits, the valid application is the one in force in your state, and therefore you must be aware of the application's coverage state;

❌ Depending on your benefit, the app may contain ads, which is quite annoying.

Despite being a very functional way to access information about the benefit, there is no single application for all benefits, as it can be either federal or state.
