Who is entitled to Gas Aid?

To be entitled to Gas Aid, it is necessary to comply with the basic income criteria, which determines a limit of up to half the minimum wage per member of the family group.

It is worth mentioning that Bolsa Família beneficiaries are entitled to the benefit, so that receiving one aid does not exclude the possibility of the other.

As we explained previously, the selection of families to receive Gas Aid occurs through CadÚnico.

Therefore, there is no need to make any extra registration, just wait for the automatic selection, which occurs through monthly cycles.

This selection evaluates the Single Registry database and identifies which families meet the program's eligibility criteria.

Therefore, if you are not yet a beneficiary, just wait, as it is likely that your family will be selected in the next cycle.

However, if some time has passed and there has been no result, try to update your registration in CadÚnico, in order to meet the criteria, and thus guarantee your family's eligibility.

The Gas Aid is paid through financial aid, with a deposit every 2 months, at which time families receive the amount equivalent to a 13kg gas cylinder.

This means that if the national average is R$ 120.00, this will be the amount deposited as a benefit.

This deposit can be made into a Caixa current or savings account, or, if the beneficiary does not have an account, the benefit will be deposited into Caixa Social Savings, with automatic opening.

This deposit is converted into a balance, allowing the amount to be used to make transfers, withdrawals or even payments with a debit card.

This way, you can pay for your family's cooking gas, which can even be free, depending on the prices in your region!
